Alvarium is a friendly neighbourhood bar in the Northern Quarter, Manchester. With its garden-themed interior, the bar is bright and colourful with welcoming and attentive staff to accommodate! We serve a fully vegan Brunch Menu (can go bottomless) in the day and then become a late-night cocktail bar! On Sunday's we serve Roasts all day.

Black Leaf is a subterranean restaurant below Alvarium offering plant-based tapas-style small sharing plates. All food is vegan, cruelty-free and sustainable! The menus change seasonally to ensure we are using fresh, locally sourced produce and we run with as low waste as possible.

Key information

Alvarium (the bar) is dog-friendly, however, Black Leaf (the restaurant) has an open kitchen and is small so we cannot accept dogs.

Alvarium: Monday - Thursday 12-11pm ; Friday 12pm-1am ; Saturday 11am-1am ; Sunday 11am-11pm.

Black Leaf: Monday - Saturday 5pm-10pm ; Sundays (Roasts) 1pm-10pm.
