What was the motivation behind your brand, business or organisation? What did you want to change in the world?
At ELYTRUM, our mission is to be a place where our customers will find high-quality, sustainable body care and skincare products and accessories that help them become aware of their senses, body and mind, and reconnect not only with all of these three parts of their being but also with our natural environment. By providing our customers with the right wellbeing tools and tips, we can help them bring all their senses alive, bringing their attention to the present and becoming more focused. Even simple body brushing can do that, as, by just a few strokes, you start to sense your body and your skin, focus on your movements, helping you become present to your body while stopping thoughts and giving your busy mind a little break. Plus, of course, your skin will look and feel healthier and naturally glowing!
When looking for the products that I wanted to offer to our customers, I made a conscious decision to make sure that the products are made ethically, with sustainable materials and that our business partnerships help support people and their wellbeing and livelihood at the same time.
When it comes to sustainability, the choice lies within us. We can ignore our planet and keep depleting its resources but at the end of the day, we are depleting ourselves of the most precious thing in this world - I believe that our physical and mental health depends on the health of our planet. Through conscious choices such as zero waste and plastic-free shopping, sustainable living, recycling and upcycling, we can not only help our nature to recover but fully thrive again.
Who is the team behind your brand, business or organisation?
Currently, it is only myself and my partner who is amazing support, helping me with the decisions, strategy, deliveries and economic and operation planning and tracking.
What one thing about your brand, business or organisation would most surprise us, or is not known outside of your team?
My partner is actually a teacher of objective consciousness, teaching people how to stop thoughts, how to get all parts of ourselves - body, mind and heart - under control and in alignment. So I learn a lot from him. I am inspired by his teaching which I then apply to everyday life and also to business.
If your brand, business or organisation could be granted one wish, what would you wish for?
My wish is probably more related to life than just business. It is probably a massive wish, yet I believe it can be achieved. This wish or we may call it an achievement, starts within ourselves, with our own actions and efforts, not by asking other people to do something for us instead.
My wish is that we become more aware and conscious of ourselves, others and our surroundings, and nature. Simply, when most people become conscious, fully awake and content with themselves then everything starts to improve - we stop judging and labelling and disrespecting other people, on the other hand, we start to understand them and support them instead. We start appreciating what we have and what is around us. All our actions will lead to making all things better in such a way, that nobody would suffer, our nature would not suffer but thrive, and subsequently, we humans would thrive too.
Is there anything else that you would like to share with us about your brand business or organisation?
Currently, we are working on developing more beauty and wellbeing products for our customers such as aromatherapy products, more body care and wellbeing tools. My aim is to offer products that are sustainable and ethical and which make us feel more content and present to our body, mind and heart.
