Worldwide, tea usually grows in huge plantations where efficiency is key. These areas used to contain rich, thriving forests, but are now no different than a monoculture of soy or rubber. At Monsoon Tea we instead use the tea plant as a tool to protect forests, as it is a plant that grows perfectly on its own when left in its natural habitat. While it is not as efficient as plantation grown tea, it increases the health of the plants as well as the surrounding nature.
