More about Peace Advocacy Network
PAN envisions a peaceful world where no animals–human or non-human–are exploited or harmed. PAN holds a number of programs and events in our effort to educate others on how to save lives and reduce environmental impact. We are dedicated to promoting equity by keeping our programs free, low-cost, and accessible to everyone.
PAN addresses the negative impact of animal agriculture on human and non-human animals.
We conduct outreach–video showings, exhibits, informative displays, leafleting, and lectures–about how raising animals for food harms the planet, wastes natural resources, and destroys habitats.
We oppose the use and abuse of animals in any capacity, such as entertainment, clothing, food, work, science, breeding (e.g. puppy mills), and any other forms.
We collect and recycle waste that cannot traditionally be recycled curbside as part of our commitment to eco-friendly practices.
We train vegan community activists how to be more effective in their own communities.
PAN engages the community in several recurring events throughout the year, from book clubs to panel discussions, as well as three major programming events: a 30-Day Vegan Pledge Program, a Vegan Activist Academy, and our Phoenixville Vegfest.

What was the motivation behind your project? What did you want to change in the world?
We believe that one of the best ways to make a difference is to be a positive influence on others and be a supportive friend and community member. In 2010 we wanted to offer this to more people and founded PAN to grow our community and promote a peaceful existence.
Who is the team behind your project?
Our team is made up of 10 volunteer Board members and five staff, four of which are part-time. We are a small, diverse, group of passionate vegans.
What one thing about your project would most surprise us?
It is entirely free!
If your project could be granted one wish, what would you wish for?
That each of our alumni would mention us to just one person! Word of mouth is the best type of advertising and we would love for our wonderful participants to share our project with others.
Is there anything else that you would like to share with us about your project?
Our free 30-day Vegan Pledge Program has saved over 400,000 animal lives! We have a 98% success rate with our supportive Vegan Pledge Program; 74% stay vegan long-term and 24% eat less animal-based products compared to before participation. In addition, over 50% of our alumni are Black, Indigenous, or People of the Global Majority.
