More about UMA INTIMATES
UMA INTIMATES lingerie aims to awaken a woman’s senses, connecting her with her inner fire through a sensual design that gently hugs the curves of the body without constricting them.
The lingerie arrives in sensorial packaging infused with Ylang Ylang essential oil, a revitalising and energising flower that lightly caresses the lingerie with its delicate fragrance. To intensify the sensory experience, a feminine infusion of Mediterranean herbs is included. The packaging is eco·designed to have a second life as a vegan leather multiuser bag and the garment tags have a second life as bookmarks.
Key information
UMA INTIMATES want to reinforce the local economy with their economic activity, so their choice of materials is mostly from suppliers located in Catalonia, thus avoiding excessive carbon emissions from transport.
In addition, they manufacture in a small workshop in Barcelona, which allows them to be involved in every step of the process. At the same time, it creates a working relationship and friendship with the women in the workshop.
UMA INTIMATES is a vegan brand! All its materials are free of animal products.
UMA'S lingerie is created with high quality fabrics, in order to offer a longer durability.
On the website you can find detailed information about their philosophy and sustainability, and if you are even more curious, you can always write us an email with your questions, and I will be happy to tell you more about UMA.

What is the motivation behind Uma Intimates?
UMA INTIMATES is an Eco~Sensual lingerie brand that proposes a journey through the senses with its Sensorial packaging.
The lingerie is made of Tencel, Eucalyptus pulp, and recycled Polyamide lace. The packaging is eco·designed to have a second life as a vegan leather bag and the garment labels are reused as bookmarks.
"Women's behaviour is unconsciously modified when we wear lingerie. The neuroscientific explanation is that we are helping our brain to secrete dopamine. Women experience feelings of well-being and satisfaction. She is prone to act with determination and perseverance in achieving her goals. Decision-making tends to be sound because a proactive attitude predominates."
UMA's MISSION is to empower women by awakening their sensuality without compromising their ethical values, comfort, or the well-being of other people or the Planet.
UMA's VISION is to contribute to a more humane society. Where human beings and Mother Nature are at the centre of the economy. UMA's vision is to be a company with great social and economic influence to promote and implement social and environmental projects.
Who is the team behind Uma Intimates?
Marie Gutierrez Hurtado since last Junio 2022 is leading UMA INTIMATES by herself with the intention to build a team soon.
What one thing about Uma Intimates would most surprise us?
With the Sensorial Packaging.
We have invested resources to eco·design the packaging. We aim to create a sensory experience for women as well as develop a second-life packaging.
The lingerie is received in sensorial packaging that is infused with Ylang Ylang essential oil, a revitalizing and energizing flower that lightly caresses the lingerie with its delicate fragrance. To intensify the sensory experience, a feminine infusion made of Mediterranean herbs is included, completing a journey through the senses with taste.
The packaging is eco·designed to have a second life as a multi-purpose vegan leather bag and the garment labels have a second life as a bookmark.
What would you wish for if you could be granted one wish?
My dream is to make UMA’s VISION tangible.
UMA INTIMATES is a young company 2 years old, which has a clear vision, to build a solid and robust company, with nationwide influence to have a positive impact first at home. Where inside and outside the company the human being is the center.
With a budget earmarked to implement social or environmental projects.
"I think it is very important to give value back to society, either with our own initiatives or by supporting social or environmental projects. Companies have a duty to give value back to our society through our economic activity."
UMA's vision is our way of taking action to break this old paradigm and move towards a humanized Economy.
Is there anything else you want to share about Uma Intimates?
UMA was born this way: In 2019, I attended to "Forest bathing" weekend workshop in Collserola (Barcelona - Catalunya). In the last hours of the workshop, in silence, I heard my voice telling me: "You are going to make sustainable panties, very sexy and beautiful. Sign up for the course you saw 2 months ago."
Almost 5 years later, here working towards my dream, UMA INTIMATES.
