More about VE Kitchen
VE Kitchen offers super salads, naughty burgers, hot classics, luscious, natural and organic wines & beers, kombuchas, shakes and so much more. All lovingly curated for you; the game changers, the occasionally curious and absolute disciples who know their greens.
VEKitchen opened in April 2021 on the Northcote Road and was conceived and founded by the entrepreneur Sunil Gopalan. The restaurant has a small patio out on the front, perfect for watching life on the Northcote Road go by and inside you’ll find an Ibiza inspired (not the party kind!) interior – calming pastels, beautiful lighting and comfortable seating.
You’ll usually hear soft jazz playing in the background, especially on Sundays when they often have a live jazz band playing out the front from 2pm to 5pm – perfect for a chilled out afternoon with a bottle of organic wine and mouthwatering snacks. The venue is available to book for private events and large parties (there’s an area perfect for seating groups of 10), just ask the team when you visit for details. They’ll also have further live music events in the future plus supper clubs and so much more. Keep an eye on their Instagram (@wearevekitchen) for the latest news.
The most popular dishes are the Game Changer Bowls which are specially designed to offer a nutritionally balanced, complete meal (perfect to fuel up pre and post workout!), the Katsu Curry and the VE Classic Burger – their plant-based take on the ultimate comfort food dish. They’re open for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner (open 9am till late, seven days a week) or just pop in for a coffee, they serve up organic Camper coffee and have a wide selection of teas.
For breakfast and brunch they offer up a menu packed full of options – from the Full VE (Full English!), VE Sweet and Spiced Porridge, Warm Banana Bread, Sausage and Tomato Sandwich and more. Available from 9am through 12pm.
The menu was designed by a team of experienced food developers including Philli Armitage-Jones, finalist on the BBC’s Masterchef: The Professionals.
